2021-Eventex Awards double Gold
The Eventex Award is a coveted international industry accolade. We were part of a global call for submissions that attracted 561 applications from 37 countries. Our Covid-19 rapid antigen test lanes pilot project for even safer events won the best Event Technology for Participant Management and Best New Event Technology categories.
2021-Gold and Silver German Stevie® Awards
The German Stevie Award is a business prize for the German-speaking countries in Europe. We were up against submissions from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Switzerland. The Austria Center Vienna claimed two awards: one for Spielefest 2019 and the other for its rapid testing lanes pilot project, which was singled out in the Most Valuable Company Response for Covid-19.
2021-World Media Festival Award Gold
Our website was voted the best MICE Website. The all-new online set-up enables us to specifically target the differing needs of organisers, exhibitors and visitors. During the pandemic, the website more than proved itself in its second role as the first port of call for Austria’s largest testing and vaccination facility – between 20 December and 21 June, it racked up more than four million visits!
2018-Gold Austrian Event Award
The Austria Center Vienna took gold in the Congresses (B2B, B2C, P2P) category of the 2018 Gold Austrian Event Award. The project that led to the win related to Austria’s rotating presidency of the European Council in the second half of 2018.
2016-Incon Global Digital Infrastructure Award
The Austria Center Vienna won the 2016 Incon Global Digital Infrastructure Award for its seamless, high-availability wireless local area network (WLAN) infrastructure. Ahead of its time, this pioneering technological breakthrough smoothed the way for paperless congresses, live HD streaming and hybrid meeting formats. The high-performance WLAN supports 20,000 users or 35,000 connections.
