Surrounded by contemporary architecture, just 7 minutes from the city centre and a few minutes’ walk from the Danube and the Donaupark. Austria’s largest conference centre has a total capacity for 20,000 delegates and offers 24 lecture rooms for between 100 and 4,320 participants, 180 meeting rooms and 22,000 m² of exhibition space.

The congress center offers a total of 26,000 m² of event space across five levels, with a capacity of 500 to 22,800 people. More than 150 halls and rooms are available. The largest room is Hall ABC, with 4,320 m².

A brand that stands for success

Internationales Amtssitz- und Konferenzzentrum Wien, Aktiengesellschaft (IAKW-AG) is responsible for maintaining the Vienna International Centre (VIC) and operating the Austria Center Vienna. The Austria Center Vienna is Austria’s largest conference centre, with 19 halls, 180 offices and meeting rooms, and some 26,000 square metres of exhibition an networking space, and is one of the top players on the international conference circuit. IAKW-AG and the Austria Center Vienna are headed by Managing Director Susanne Baumann-Söllner and Managing Director Michael Rotter.

Appointed to IAKW-AG’s Executive Board on Dec 1, 2012, Baumann-Söllner (business graduate, trustee, financial analyst) previously worked as a tax/business consultant and at Austria’s Ministry of Finance advising ministers and leading tax policy/law. Author, Leopold Kunschak Science Award 2011. As board spokeswoman: congress business (marketing, sales, event mgmt) plus finance, HR, IT, security.

Board member since 2017, Michael Rotter serves as technical director for renovation and construction projects and, as Austria’s representative in the Major Repairs and Replacements Fund, manages the Vienna International Center. TU Vienna graduate with decades of international leadership experience, incl. CEO roles at Siemens Gebäudemanagement & Services and Hereschwerke Regeltechnik.
