Austria Center Vienna continues its growth: 92,752 participants in the first half of 2026 and strong occupancy through year-end

Austria Center Vienna (ACV) has enjoyed a strong first half of the year. Hosting 43 events and welcoming 92,752 participants, the venue has continued to perform strongly across its two strategic core segments: international congresses and corporate events.

International congresses and corporate events driving growth

The consistent focus on international congresses and high-quality corporate events continues to prove a key success factor. Both segments strengthen Vienna’s international profile while generating significant economic benefits for the city and Austria as a whole.

Strong event calendar through the end of the year

Following an intensive first half of the year, the event calendar remains busy through year-end. The programme includes numerous international congresses, corporate events and major national events. As in previous years, the traditional Christmas parties in December will round off the year and keep the venue highly occupied during the final weeks of 2026.

Leadership continuity with a focus on modernization

From 1 September, Mag. Dr. Susanne Baumann-Söllner will assume sole leadership of IAKW-AG, the company responsible for operating Austria Center Vienna and managing the Vienna International Centre (VIC). In addition to her existing responsibilities for the congress and events business, she will now also oversee property and facility management as well as the administration of the Vienna International Centre. These areas were previously under the responsibility of DI Dr. Michael Rotter, who stepped down from his position as member of the Executive Board on 31 August.

Under her leadership, the modernisation of both the event and building infrastructure, as well as the continued international positioning of the organisation, will remain key priorities. At the Vienna International Centre, key construction measures with a total investment of €36 million are being implemented to bring the facilities up to current technical standards and ensure that they continue to meet the long-term needs of international organisations.
