New catering partners and feelgood oases at the Austria Center Vienna

Turn up, make yourself a home and get down to work just as if you were in your own office. From 2015 a pair of new catering partners and a contemporary business lounge with its very own Viennese coffeehouse will help to create a new way of working at the Austria Center Vienna.

Austria Center Vienna a major draw for medical conferences in 2015

The St. Gallen Breast Cancer Conference, which brings together 4,000 oncologists, is just one of four big international medical conferences that the Austria Center Vienna has attracted to the Austrian capital for 2015.

Austria Center Vienna becomes the nation’s first green conference centre

Austria Center Vienna was recently awarded first Austrian Eco-label for conference and meeting venues, and confirmed the venue’s status as an official green meetings certification body.

Austria’s largest conference centre is now an official Green Meeting certification partner. The ECR 2014, held as a Green Meeting for the first time this year, served as a pilot project.

ECR keeps on growing: Austria Center Vienna opens up use of UN buildings
The radiology congress branched out into the conference centre normally reserved for the Vienna-based UN organisations for the first time this year, helping to further strengthen the close ties between the Austria Center Vienna and the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in the process.

Gastroenterology Congress: 2014-2019 in Vienna and Barcelona
After deliberations lasting over a year, the European Society of Gastroenterology has chosen the venues for its annual meetings till the year 2019: Vienna and Barcelona won through and will alternate with one another each year. Some 14,000 delegates from 120 countries are expected to attend this event every year.

The event centre’s new strategy focuses on providing a true one stop shop, offering full service and support to create joined-up concepts which transform events into memorable experiences. The new ACV logo was officially unveiled at access 2013.

Austria Center Vienna wins race to host Lotterien Gala Night of Sport
Austria’s top sportsmen and women will be honoured at the country’s premier sports gala on 31 October 2013. The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) will play host to the event for the first time, and Austrian TV broadcaster ORF will provide live prime-time coverage.

Austria Center Vienna attracts four major conferences with total attendance of 60,500 up to 2017
The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) has recently secured bookings for a number of major events. The European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) Annual Meeting will be held at the ACV in 2013, 2017 and 2021. And the ACV has landed firm reservations for a further two large-scale conferences in 2016.

An additional 240,000 bednights over the course of the next six years for Vienna – Federal Minister for Science and Research Karlheinz Töchterle highlights Austria’s attractiveness as a conference destination.
