Internationales Amtssitz- und Konferenzzentrum Wien, Aktiengesellschaft (IAKW-AG) is responsible for maintaining the Vienna International Centre (VIC) and operating the Austria Center Vienna. The Austria Center Vienna is Austria’s largest conference centre, with 24 halls, 180 offices and meeting rooms, and some 22,000 square metres of exhibition space, and is one of the top players on the international conference circuit. IAKW-AG and the Austria Center Vienna are headed by Chief Executive Officer Susanne Baumann-Söllner.

Susanne Baumann-Söllner was appointed Chief Executive of IAKW-AG, the company that operates the Austria Center Vienna, as of 1 December 2012. This means that Dr Baumann-Söllner has also taken the reins at the head of the Austria Center Vienna, Austria’s largest conference centre. 

The qualified business studies lecturer, accountant and financial analyst began her career as tax and business consultant. She then worked at the Federal Ministry of Finance as an advisor to a number of ministers and as head of the department for tax policy and tax law. Dr Baumann-Söllner is the author of a number of publications on fiscal policy and was awarded the Leopold Kunschak Prize in 2011. 

On 1 January 2013 she had also become the government representative on the joint committee that administers the funding of major repairs and renovation projects at the Vienna International Centre (VIC), seat of the headquarters of a number of international organisations.

Since September 2017, new Managing Director Michael Rotter will be responsible for various technical areas including Construction Services, Property and Project Management. As a representative of the Republic of Austria in the Major Repairs and Replacements Fund, maintaining and managing the Vienna International Centre also falls under his remit. A native of Vienna, Michael Rotter graduated from the TU Wien and has decades of international experience of senior management positions, including as CEO of Siemens Gebäudemanagement & Services GmbH. and of Hereschwerke Regeltechnik GmbH.
