Sustainability policy As a result of our commitment to sustainability across the bottom line, renovation work at the Austria Center Vienna is aimed at both environmental and economic benefits. The ACV strives to make a significant contribution to environmental protection wherever possible. We have already taken the following steps to achieve these goals (non-exhaustive list): 1) Use of well water instead of drinking water for all toilets 2) Replacement of all filament lamps with LEDs 3) Installation of a 120 square metre thermal solar array to meet the warm water requirements of the kitchens and toilets 4) Shutdown of hot water boilers when unneeded 5) Reduction of 5°C in warm water temperatures (from 60°C to approx. 55°C) 6) Replacement of all circulating pumps in the radiator circuits by variable speed pumps with frequency converters 7) Replacement of radiator circuits in smaller areas by centrally controlled valves 8) Replacement of secondary transformer pumps for air conditioning systems by variable speed pumps with frequency converters Forfurther information on our Environmental Policy, please contact Paul Schaschl (paul.schaschl@acv.at) or Manfred David (manfred.david@acv.at).
