How many parking spaces are there at the ACV and what does parking cost? There are around 1,000 spaces. Parking is charged on an hourly basis or, by agreement, at daily flat rates. The forecourt has room for 25 coaches.
Can we arrange our own catering? No. Eurest — a member of the world’s largest catering group, Compass — is the ACV’s exclusive catering partner. Eurest’s services leave no wishes unfulfilled, and the quality of its food is up to the highest international standards.
Do I have to make a down payment when booking a hall? We make a distinction between an optional reservation and a definite booking. We require a 25 % down payment for definite bookings.
Which language can we contact you in? The sales department and event management team can communicate in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
What types of events are held at the ACV? The ACV is a multi-purpose venue which hosts major congresses and conferences, as well as international product launches, trade fairs and exhibitions, balls, banquets, concerts, lectures and seminars.
How many events are held at the ACV each year? Recently, an average 100 events of all kinds have been held at the ACV each year. In 2003 we hosted a total of 124 events.
How many visitors come to the ACV each year? We welcomed around 265,000 visitors in 2003, and total since we opened in 1987 has now topped 3.9 million.
What are the largest events to have been held at the ACV? The largest events to have been held at the centre since its opening include: the 1993 Human Rights Conference with 14,000 delegates; the European Congress of Radiology which has been held in Vienna nine times since 1991, drawing between 11,000–12,000 delegates; the WIPA international stamp exhibition, insured for EUR 145m and featuring the rare Blue Mauritius stamp, which had an attendance of over 60,000; and 1987–88 CSCE conference which occupied a whole level of the building for more than a year.
What did it cost to build the ACV? The ACV was built at a cost of EUR 218m.
Who owns the ACV? Austria Center Vienna is the property of Österreichisches Konferenzzentrum Wien, Aktiengesellschaft.
Who operates the ACV? The ACV is operated by Internationales Amtssitz- und Konferenzzentrum Wien-AG.
