Management German born Thomas Rupperti (60) has lived in Austria since 1983. The marketing and tourist expert saw extended service as managing director of Austria’s largest holiday hotel operator, the TUI owned Dorfhotel Group, before leaving in 1999 to head Seaside Hotels in the Canaries. In June 2001 he became managing director of Hartl Resort AG in Bad Griesbach. Mr. Rupperti was appointed as chairman of the supervisory board of IAKW-AG, which operates the Austria Center Vienna, in mid-2001. He has been Member of the Board of Management & CEO since January 2003, and also represents the Austrian Government on the joint committee for the funding of major repairs and modernisation of the Vienna International Centre which is the seat of the Vienna International Centre in Vienna.
